First things first, a few showers and downpours are possible overnight into early Saturday. Nothing severe is expected with this rain, and many of you will stay dry.
Then, almost everyone will be dry Saturday afternoon. If yard work, housework, outdoor exercising or heading to a park is on your to-do list, tomorrow afternoon will be the time to do it. Then, Sunday morning, more storms will arrive. Severe weather is unlikely in the morning round of storms, though a few strong gusts of wind are possible.
By later in the afternoon and evening, storms are likely again, and this time they have the potential to be severe. How high the tornado risk is comes down to timing - If thunderstorms develop if the afternoon, those storms will be more likely to spin up a tornado. Narrowing down the timing window is tricky.
